The Waterfall Rappelling Experience:

The Wild Sky Seattle Waterfall Rappelling Adventure promises to be an unforgettable canyoneering experience for beginners seeking an exciting outdoor adventure. This canyoneering adventure is designed to be a challenging, yet friendly introduction into the world of swiftwater canyoneering.

Participants must be physically prepared for a day full hiking and mentally prepared  to be exposed to heights while rappelling down waterfalls.

The day starts when you meet your guide in North Bend at 8am. After a short drive to your canyons trailhead your guide will pass out all the technical gear for the day and help you pack the provided bag. You will receive an in-depth safety briefing.

The canyon begins with a steep and moderately difficult hike to access the drop-in point of your canyon. Once you arrive at the canyon you will put on your wetsuit and prepare your technical equipment before descending into the canyon.

As you descend the canyon you will face a series of beginner friendly challenges such as rappelling down waterfalls, crossing flowing streams, and navigating canyon terrain. Your guides will lead the way and offer support, but the sense of accomplishment you will feel as you overcome each obstacle is all yours.

After finishing the canyon it is a short walk to the trailhead. You will de-rig and remove your harness and wetsuit. You will towel off and put on your dry clothes. Make sure to remove any personal equipment from the Wild Sky backpacks! If you left a car back in North Bend your guide will drop you off at your car.

Wild Sky Canyoneering adventures are not just about physical challenges. We strive to provide a safe space for participants to embark on an internal journey of self-discovery that challenges limiting beliefs and promotes personal empowerment. As you overcome the canyon obstacles, you'll develop confidence and know yourself as someone who takes on difficult challenges and completes them.

A Life-Affirming Adventure.

The Wild Sky Seattle Waterfall Rappelling Adventure is a unique and transformative canyoneering experience that combines physical and mental challenges to promote personal growth.

This is the perfect adventure for beginners seeking a challenging, yet fun and memorable outdoor experience.

Upon booking you will receive a confirmation email detailing all the important details for getting ready for the trip, and 48 hours leading up to the trip your guide will be in touch with you to confirm meet up location and time so that there is no confusion the morning of your adventure.

A trip with Wild Sky is an all inclusive experience. Our lead guides have been trained to the highest standards of internationally recognized certifications. They are trained Wilderness First Responders who always carry an extensive First Aid Kit and emergency communication equipment.

When you book a trip with us we will provide you with all the gear needed to move through the canyon. We will fit you with an industry leading quick-dry wetsuit from Seland, a harness with attached carabiners and rappel device, a helmet, a backpack and a dry bucket to store your food.

The most important thing that you can bring on a Wild Sky adventure is a Positive Attitude and a readiness to exert yourself physically for the day.

Canyon appropriate clothes includes lightweight, non-cotton, long pants, a non-cotton shirt, and a pair of durable shoes with good grip (vibram soles preferable) that you don't mind getting wet!

To keep your attitude positive and your body moving you are going to want to bring enough food and at least 2 liters of water to keep you on the move for the duration of your adventure.

At Wild Sky we understand that life is messy and things can change. We have designed our cancellation policy to be fair to our valued customers, but allows us to provide some certainty in our guide schedule.

Cancellation Policy:

More than 7 days before trip begins: Full Refund.

Less than 7 days: Wild Sky Credit.

Please bring an extra pair of glasses or contacts with you on your trip. Leave them in your dry bucket so that you have them if you lose yours in the canyon. Please bring glasses straps to secure your glasses in the canyon.

Prior experience canyoneering is not necessary for any of our adventure challenges.

The Snoqualmie Canyoneering Adventure, the Family Canyoneering Adventure, and the Private Waterfall Tour! were designed with beginners in mind!

The Whitewater Canyoneering Adventure is also appropriate for beginners, but the challenge requires more resiliency and  physical fitness than the other trips. The Vertical Canyoneering Adventure is designed for those experienced with exposure to heights. Honestly evaluate yourself and every member of the trip before signing up for this challenge if you have never been canyoneering before.

Seattle area Wild Sky Challenges meet up outside of North Bend at 8:00 AM.

Directions to Meetup.

We have designed our challenges to last around 6 - 8 hours, so expect to finish around 2:00 - 4:00 PM.
