The Mt. Rainier Canyoning Expedition!

The Wild Sky Mt. Rainier Canyoning Expedition is Washington States premier canyoning outdoor adventure experience.

This spectacular three-day adventure into the heart of Pacific Northwest canyons, under the gaze of Mt. Rainier, sets the stage for an unforgettable outdoor adventure! Our expedition leads you through some of the most breathtaking canyons and waterfalls, offering a unique blend of excitement and natural beauty. With expert guides leading the way, you’ll rappel down rushing waterfalls, descend remote streams, and discover the hidden wonders of this fairyland landscape.

As you immerse yourself in the vibrant ecosystem of Mt. Rainier, you’ll create memories that last a lifetime. The Wild Sky Guides Mt. Rainier Canyoning Expedition isn’t just a trip—it’s the outdoor adventure of a lifetime!

The trip starts when you meet with your guide in Packwood Washington in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Your guide will ensure that you have all of the correct equipment to begin the expedition. Your group will sign all of the necessary paperwork and then drive to your first canyon.

Each canyon has a different approach, some of them are 5 minutes, while others are well over an hour. Your guide will take your groups objectives and skills into consideration before choosing each days canyon.

Wild Sky Guides has chosen some of the best, most picturesque PNW canyons for this expedition. Before beginning on the expedition we will speak with you to decide on which canyons objectives we will pursue. Each days canyon will be designed to train us for the largest and most challenging objective in our adventure.

As you descend the canyon you will face a series of beginner friendly challenges such as rappelling down waterfalls, crossing flowing streams, and navigating canyon terrain. Your guides will lead the way and offer support, but the sense of accomplishment you will feel as you overcome each obstacle is all yours.

After finishing each days canyon you will walk to the trailhead. You will de-rig and remove your harness and wetsuit. You will towel off and put on your dry clothes. Make sure to remove any personal equipment from the Wild Sky backpacks!

If you are driving in a personal vehicle then you  will drive  back to your campsite or hotel. If you are in the Wild Sky vehicle then we will escort you back to Packwood each evening.

The Wild Sky Guides  Mt. Rainier Canyoning Adventure is designed to be 3 days of canyoning exploration to some of the most incredible canyoning destinations in the Pacific Northwest.

A Life-Affirming Adventure.

Wild Sky Guides are committed to providing a safe, sustainable, and thrilling canyoning expedition. The Snoqualmie Canyoneering Adventure, the Family Canyoneering Adventure, and the Private Waterfall Tour! were designed with beginners in mind!

The Whitewater Canyoneering Adventure is also appropriate for beginners, but the challenge requires more resiliency and  physical fitness than the other trips.
