Wild Sky Adventure Guides and Aventura Vertical PR are proud to announce our first canyoning guide certification courses in Puerto Rico!
Building Bridges Between Europe and the Americas.
This is a project that seeks to build bridges between canyoning communities in Europe and the Americas by offering low cost canyoning courses taught by certified instructors who are professionals in their field.
Puerto Rico is ideally placed to become a world class destination for adventure canyoning AND swiftwater canyoning instruction. This spring we will be offering two canyoning guide certification courses.
Instructors:
For our inaugural ICA courses we are proud to announce that our lead instructors are Pedro Sousa and Jorge Ferreira. Both instructors are leading Portuguese Canyoners and Professional instructors. Courses will be taught in English, but both instructors are fluent in Portuguese and Spanish as well.
What: ICA Level 1 Auxiliary (Assistant) Guide Course!
Who: Canyoners interested in guide specific swiftwater canyoning training.
Where: Orocovis, Puerto Rico!
When: February 24th – March 4th 2025

Scholarships Available: We are committed to expanding representation in canyon leadership. We encourage women, non-binary, and BIPoC identifying individuals to join the course. Scholarships are available for folks who face historic, economic, or cultural barriers to participation. Email info@wildskyguides.com for more information.

Lodging:
The cost of the course does not include room and board in Puerto Rico. However, we have secured economic lodgings near Orocovis for the duration of the course and course members are welcome to contribute to the price of the lodgings for the duration of the course.
Vehicle Rentals:
Vehicle rentals are not included in the price of the course. Participants are encouraged to collaborate together to share in the price of vehicle rentals.
Gear:
Upon confirmation of your participation in the courses we will contact you with the required gear for the course. If you are serious enough about canyoning to apply for the course then you should have all the gear necessary for the course.
